Public Utility Commission to Hear ALJ’s Proposal to Deny and Dismiss Ratepayers' Appeal on June 16
In March, the Administrative Law Judges who heard the Ratepayer Representatives' rate protest issued a Proposal for Decision recommending that the Public Utility Commission deny and dismiss the protest.
Please be advised that the Public Utility Commission will consider the ALJ's proposal for decision at the Commission's open meeting at 9:30 a.m. on June 16, 2022.
The PUC open meeting will be at Commission offices located on the seventh floor of the Travis Building at 1701 North Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas. You may also view the open meeting at https://www.puc.texas.gov/agency/broadcasts.aspx The PFD is viewable at: https://wowsc.org/documents/778/473-20-4071__Administrative_Law_Judges_Proposal_for_Decision_1.pdf.
As discussed at the WOWSC March 27 annual meeting of the members, the WOWSC prevailed in its lawsuit against the insurance company for payment of legal fees needed to defend past and current directors. Pending the appeal outcome, the WOWSC Board will review and also consider expenses for the Ratepayer's Protest Case to determine rates.
