WOWSC Major Water Leak Wednesday 04102024
April 11, 2024
Dear Customer,
Last night, the District’s operators and repair crew responded to a call of a major leak that had water gushing from the ground. Upon arrival, it was determined that a vehicle had hit a flush valve and the rate of water loss was high enough to deplete the water storage tank. This was not an infrastructure issue.
Communication was sent to customers notifying of the situation and that water would have to be turned off in order to make the repair. The crew was onsite until after 2am this morning working on the repair in the dark. They will return this morning to finish the repair as they need to secure additional supplies.
Once the repair is complete, we will send another communication and a boil water notice will be issued as per the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, (TCEQ).
Respectfully,
Windermere Oaks WSC
